Conditions of admission of foreign citizens to study at PJSC “Zaporizhzhya Institute of Economics and Information Technologies” (see in Ukrainian)
Citizens of foreign countries who have completed secondary education can be admitted to the Institute regardless of their race, gender, language and attitude to religion; they should be practically healthy.
1. Admission of foreign citizens to study is carried out on the basis of:
- International treaties of Ukraine;
- National programs;
- Agreements (contracts) of the Institute with legal entities;
- Training agreements with individuals.
2. A foreign citizen has the right to enter Ukraine for the purpose of studying at the Institute on the basis of an “Invitation to study” (hereinafter referred to as the “Invitation”) of the state standard.
The “Invitation” with the obligatory filling in of all the columns of the form is issued to
individuals – on the basis of an application in person;
to legal entities that have an agreement with the Ukrainian State Center for International Education of Ukraine on the organization of foreigners’ enrollment for study on the basis of an agreement with the Institute.
In order to receive an invitation to study, a foreign citizen should apply in writing to the administration of the Institute with a request for admission to PJSC “Zaporizhzhia Institute of Economics and Information Technologies”. 3. A foreigner who has received an “Invitation”, after obtaining an entry visa at the Consular Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, is obliged to inform the Institute about the place and date of entry into Ukraine.
4. Upon arrival at the Institute, the foreigner shall provide:
documents according to the list (see Appendix 1);
a national passport with a visa and registration of the checkpoint of the State Committee of the Border Guard Service.
5. An agreement is concluded with foreigners recommended for enrollment, which is a regulatory document that defines the obligations and rights of the institute and the foreigner for the entire period of study. The agreement comes into force from the moment the rector issues an order on enrollment.
6. Citizens of foreign countries may study at the Institute:
at the preparatory department, the term of study is 10 months;
in the areas of training and specialties of higher education, by educational qualification levels (degrees of education)
– Bachelor, term of study – 4 years;
– Master’s degree, term of study – 2 years;
Entry and enrollment in the preparatory department for foreigners is carried out throughout the year.
7. Foreign citizens enrolled for study become the member of Center’s student community and are included in the lists of academic groups of the relevant faculties along with Ukrainian students.
8. Foreign citizens studying at the Institute have the same rights as Ukrainian students to use classrooms, reading rooms and libraries, sports and cultural complexes.
9. The conditions of accommodation and medical care of foreign citizens are determined by additional agreements (contracts).
10. Foreign citizens who submit documents of completed educational level (educational qualification) obtained in foreign countries, are required to carry out the procedure of nostrification of these documents conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
11. Foreign citizens studying at the Institute are guaranteed with the rights and freedoms provided by the current legislation of Ukraine. Foreigners are obliged to respect and comply with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, the Statute of the Institute.
In all cases, the persons who received the “Invitation” are responsible for the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Status of Foreigners”.
Appendix #1. List of documents
Citizens of foreign countries – candidates for study must submit the following documents:
1. an application of the established form;
2. original and copy of the document with translation into Ukrainian (notarized copy of the document on secondary education and its appendix indicating the grades (points) of academic disciplines;
3. original and a copy of the international passport with a translation into Ukrainian (notarized);
4. an insurance policy for the provision of emergency medical care (except for foreigners who come from countries with which agreements on free emergency medical care have been concluded);
5. a copy of the birth certificate;
6. 8 photographs 35×45 mm in size.
The documents specified in subparagraphs “2” and “3” must be certified in accordance with the legislation of the country of issue and legalized in accordance with the established procedure, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree documents must be recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in accordance with the Regulations on the Recognition of Foreign Educational Documents.
